Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the Policy Center. It incorporates the General Policy Terms (“GPT”) by reference. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the GPT.

AUP-21.0 Incorporation and Scope

AUP-21.1 Incorporation by reference

This AUP incorporates the GPT, which are included as if fully set forth here.

AUP-21.2 What this AUP covers

This AUP applies to your use of the Site, Services, Portal, Telecommunications Features and any Submissions you provide through any channel.

AUP-21.3 Who this applies to

This AUP applies to Visitors, Prospective Clients, Clients, Authorized Users and any other Users who access or use the Site or Services.

AUP-22.0 Acceptance and Discontinuation

AUP-22.1 Acceptance

By accessing or using the Site or Services, you agree to this AUP and the GPT.

AUP-22.2 If you do not agree, discontinue use

If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services and discontinue use immediately.

AUP-23.0 General Rule

You must use the Site and Services lawfully, respectfully and in a manner that does not harm others, interfere with operations, compromise security or infringe rights.

AUP-24.0 Prohibited Conduct

AUP-24.1 Unlawful, abusive, deceptive or harmful use

You may not use the Site or Services to engage in unlawful activity or conduct that is abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, deceptive, fraudulent or harmful.

AUP-24.2 Impersonation and misrepresentation

You may not impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your identity, affiliation or authority, or misrepresent that any automated output is attorney advice or an official communication from the Operating Firm.

AUP-24.3 Security interference and misuse

You may not:

  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system
  • bypass, disable or interfere with security or access controls
  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems or data
  • introduce malware or harmful code
  • interfere with service availability, performance or integrity.

AUP-24.4 Interference with other Users

You may not disrupt, overload or degrade the Site or Services, or interfere with any other User’s access or use.

AUP-25.0 Content, Submissions and Sensitive Information

AUP-25.1 Your responsibilities for Submissions

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of your Submissions. You represent you have the right to provide them and that they do not violate any law or third-party rights.

AUP-25.2 Prohibited content

You may not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, abusive, deceptive, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate for a professional legal services environment.

AUP-25.3 Sensitive Information and PHI

You may not submit Sensitive Information or PHI through public website forms, Telecommunications Features or other channels that the Operating Firm has not designated for sensitive records. If a matter requires sensitive records, follow the designated secure method provided by the Operating Firm.

AUP-25.4 Rights infringement

You may not submit content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets or other rights. The Operating Firm may remove or restrict access to content that appears to violate rights.

AUP-26.0 Automated Use, Scraping and Rate Limits

AUP-26.1 No scraping or harvesting

You may not use automated means to scrape, harvest, extract or index Content or data from the Site or Services without written permission.

AUP-26.2 No dataset creation or model exploitation

You may not use Content, Submissions or service interactions to create datasets, training corpora or derivative databases intended to replicate, benchmark, extract or exploit any part of the Site or Services, except as permitted by law or with written permission.

AUP-26.3 Rate limits and anti-abuse controls

The Operating Firm may impose rate limits, throttling, bot mitigation, spam controls and other safeguards. You may not attempt to evade these measures.

AUP-27.0 Telecommunications Features Acceptable Use

AUP-27.1 No spam or harassment

You may not use Telecommunications Features to send spam, repeated unwanted messages, abusive communications or content intended to harass, threaten or intimidate.

AUP-27.2 No third-party messaging without authorization

You may not use the Site or Services to contact third parties who have not requested contact or do not have a lawful basis for receiving the communication.

AUP-27.3 No evasion of call and messaging controls

You may not attempt to bypass routing rules, blocking, screening, consent controls or anti-fraud measures for calls, Chat, SMS or WhatsApp.

AUP-27.4 Consent and channel rules

You must comply with applicable channel rules and instructions, including opt-out mechanisms where provided. The Operating Firm may provide additional just-in-time notices and consent prompts as described in GPT-8.9.

AUP-28.0 AI Agent Acceptable Use

AUP-28.1 No attempts to induce prohibited outputs

You may not attempt to prompt, coerce or manipulate an AI Agent to provide legal advice, bypass safeguards, reveal internal instructions, disclose Confidential Information or facilitate wrongdoing.

AUP-28.2 No prompt injection, data exfiltration or poisoning

You may not attempt prompt injection, jailbreak techniques, data extraction, model probing, system mapping, poisoning or similar efforts intended to compromise integrity, confidentiality or safety.

AUP-28.3 No representation of AI output as attorney advice

You may not represent AI Agent output as legal advice, attorney work product, a firm position, or an official communication from the Operating Firm.

AUP-29.0 Reporting Issues

If you believe there is abuse, fraud, a security issue, rights infringement or a violation of this AUP, contact the Operating Firm using the method in GPT-20.0 and include enough detail for review.

AUP-30.0 Enforcement and Remedies

AUP-30.1 Enforcement actions

The Operating Firm may investigate suspected violations and may take appropriate action, including:

  • warnings and requests to stop
  • content removal or restriction
  • rate limiting or temporary blocks
  • suspension or termination of access to the Site, Services or Portal
  • blocking phone numbers, accounts, devices or IP addresses
  • preserving logs, recordings or transcripts for security and compliance.

AUP-30.2 Referrals and reporting

Where appropriate, the Operating Firm may report conduct to telecommunications providers, platform providers, regulators or law enforcement.

AUP-30.3 Global terms apply

Dispute resolution order, Arbitration, limitation of liability, indemnification, severability, waiver, assignment and contact provisions are addressed in the GPT and apply to this AUP as incorporated by reference.
