This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) is part of the Policy Center. It incorporates the General Policy Terms (“GPT”) by reference. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the GPT. This Notice explains how Inherent Law Group llc (the “Operating Firm”) collects, uses, discloses and safeguards Personal Information through the Site, Telecommunications Features and Services.

This Notice applies to Personal Information we collect through the Site and Services, including when you:
- visit or interact with the Site

- access a Portal or other authenticated Service, if available.

This Notice does not replace Engagement Terms or Professional Obligations. Information handled as part of legal representation may be subject to additional rules and controls.
PRI-21.3 Location-based rights and requirements
Privacy and data protection rights may depend on where you live and where the interaction occurs. We will comply with applicable requirements.
PRI-21.4 Québec restriction
We do not offer the Site or Services to residents of Québec and may restrict access from Québec.
PRI-22.0 Information We Collect
PRI-22.1 Information you provide
We may collect information you choose to provide, including:
- identifiers and contact data (name, email address, phone number)
- business context (company name, role or title, if provided)
- inquiry content (the reason you contacted us and the details you choose to share)
- scheduling details (appointment requests, availability preferences)
- communications preferences (preferred channel, opt-out requests).
PRI-22.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Site or Services, we may collect:
- device and usage data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, interactions, diagnostic logs)
- approximate location derived from IP address
- cookie and similar technology data as described in PRI-25.0.
PRI-22.3 Telecommunications Features data
If Telecommunications Features are enabled, we may collect:
- call and message metadata (caller ID, date, time, duration, delivery status, routing data)
- Chat messages and any content you submit through Chat, SMS or WhatsApp
- where used and permitted by law, Recordings and Transcripts of calls or Chats
- technical logs associated with communications features (for reliability, security and abuse prevention).
PRI-22.4 Portal and account data
If a Portal or authenticated Service is provided, we may collect:
- Account identifiers and Credentials-related metadata
- access logs and audit events (logins, uploads, downloads, permissions changes)
- content you upload or submit through the Portal, subject to the GPT and applicable feature terms.
PRI-22.5 Important intake reminders
Do not submit Sensitive Information or PHI through public website forms, Chat, SMS, WhatsApp or other general communications channels unless we confirm an appropriate intake channel and provide a designated secure method.
PRI-23.0 How We Use Information
PRI-23.1 Providing the Site and Services
We use Personal Information to:
- operate the Site and Services and respond to inquiries
- evaluate and route inquiries and determine next steps
- communicate with you about scheduling and administrative matters
- provide Portal access and related features where available.
PRI-23.2 Communications operations
We use communications-related information to:
- send and receive messages and calls you request or authorize
- provide confirmations, reminders and administrative updates
- manage opt-out requests and channel preferences
- reduce spam, fraud and abuse.
PRI-23.3 Security, fraud prevention and quality control
We use information to:
- secure the Site and Services, including logging and abuse detection
- prevent fraud and protect Users, systems and data
- troubleshoot, maintain and improve performance and reliability
- perform quality review of communications where permitted, including review of Recordings or Transcripts where used.
PRI-23.4 Compliance and recordkeeping
We use information to:
- maintain business records and audit trails
- respond to lawful requests and legal process
- enforce Policies and protect rights and safety.
PRI-23.5 What we do not do as a business model
We do not sell Personal Information for money. We do not use the content of your legal inquiry to create advertising profiles for targeted advertising. We may use analytics and marketing technologies to measure performance, attribute campaigns and improve outreach, subject to your Privacy Choices and applicable law.
PRI-24.0 Sharing and Disclosures
PRI-24.1 Service providers and infrastructure vendors
We use Third-Party Services to operate the Site and Services (for example, hosting, platform components, communications tooling, security tooling and support tooling). We require vendors we engage for these purposes to process information on our instructions and apply appropriate safeguards, consistent with contractual and legal requirements.
PRI-24.2 Third-party providers at your request
If you request information about a third-party product, program or membership offering, the Operating Firm may share your submitted contact details and request information with the third-party provider for follow-up. The provider will be identified by name at the transfer point and your continued participation confirms your request to be contacted by the provider.
PRI-24.3 Legal, compliance and safety
We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or respond to lawful requests.
PRI-24.4 Business transfers
If the Operating Firm is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
PRI-25.0 Cookies and Similar Technologies
PRI-25.1 What we use
We may use cookies and similar technologies (cookies, pixels, tags, local storage and similar mechanisms) to:
- operate the Site and maintain sessions
- enable features, including forms and Chat workflows
- remember preferences and improve user experience
- support security and abuse prevention
- understand usage patterns and improve performance.
PRI-25.2 Categories (general)
Depending on configuration, these technologies may include:
- strictly necessary (site operation, security, session management)
- functional (preferences and feature enablement)
- analytics (performance measurement, troubleshooting, improvement)
- marketing (advertising, attribution, conversion measurement, retargeting, similar purposes).
PRI-25.3 No cookie consent popup
We do not use a cookie consent popup. Unless restricted by law, location or configuration, cookies and tracking technologies may be enabled by default.
PRI-25.4 Privacy Choices availability
Privacy Choices are available on every page so you can manage analytics and marketing tracking at any time.
PRI-25.5 Effect of preferences
When you disable a category, we apply your preference promptly and attempt to prevent that category from loading going forward. Some settings may require a page refresh or a new session to take full effect.
PRI-25.6 Opt-out preference signals
Where required by applicable law and supported by our configuration, we may honor recognized opt-out preference signals for certain processing.
PRI-26.0 Communications and SMS Notice
PRI-26.1 Consent to communications
If you provide a phone number, initiate a call, initiate Chat, send an SMS or WhatsApp message or otherwise request communications, you authorize the Operating Firm to contact you through the channel you used and through reasonable related channels for your inquiry and administrative purposes.
PRI-26.2 Message frequency and carrier charges
Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Carriers and messaging platforms are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
PRI-26.3 Opt-out and help keywords
Where supported, you may opt out of SMS by replying STOP and request assistance by replying HELP. Opt-out functionality may vary by channel and platform. If you opt out of a channel, we may still contact you through other channels you have provided or used, unless you request otherwise or applicable law requires a broader opt out.
PRI-26.4 Recordings, transcripts and human review
Where permitted by law and where used, calls and Chats may be recorded, stored and transcribed. Recordings and Transcripts may be reviewed by people for quality, training, compliance, security, routing and to respond to your request.
PRI-26.5 Do not share sensitive information in chat or messaging
Chat, SMS and WhatsApp are not intended for Sensitive Information or PHI. Do not submit Sensitive Information or PHI through these channels unless the Operating Firm provides a designated secure method.
PRI-26.6 Automated assistance and AI usage
Some Chats or intake interactions may involve an AI Agent used for intake support, routing and general information. AI Agent output may be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate for your situation and does not replace legal advice. Where required by law, regulation, professional rules or the communication channel used, we may provide additional disclosures or obtain consent at the point of interaction.
PRI-26.7 Not for emergencies or deadlines
Communications channels are not intended for emergencies. Do not rely on Chat, SMS, WhatsApp, voicemail or email for time-sensitive communications unless we have expressly agreed in writing.
PRI-27.0 Data Handling Standards
PRI-27.1 Safeguards
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information, which may include:
- access controls and least-privilege permissions
- logging and monitoring of access and system activity
- encryption in transit and, where appropriate and feasible, at rest
- vendor due diligence and contractual controls
- incident response procedures designed to assess, contain and remediate security events.
PRI-27.2 Security limitations
No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
PRI-28.0 Your Rights and Choices
PRI-28.1 Requests you may make
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- request access to Personal Information we hold about you
- request correction of inaccurate information
- request deletion of certain information
- object to or restrict certain processing
- request portability where applicable
- opt out of certain types of processing where required by law.

To exercise rights, submit a request using the contact method in GPT-20.0. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
PRI-28.3 Limits and exceptions
Certain information may be exempt from requests under applicable law, including information needed for compliance, security, legal claims, recordkeeping, Professional Obligations or to protect rights and safety.
PRI-28.4 Appeals
Where required by law, if we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our response or contacting us again using the method in GPT-20.0.
PRI-29.0 Data Retention
PRI-29.1 Retention principles
We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- respond to inquiries and provide Services
- maintain business records and audit trails
- meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations
- resolve disputes and enforce agreements
PRI-29.2 Deletion and anonymization
We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for these purposes, unless retention is required or permitted by law.
PRI-30.0 Cross-Border Processing
The Site and Services may be supported by systems and vendors that store or process information in the United States, Canada or other locations. By using the Site and Services, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
PRI-31.0 Children’s Privacy
The Site and Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information, contact us using GPT-20.0 so we can take appropriate action.
